Simmi Garewal, a popular actress of the 70s-80s, shared a post on the day of Dussehra. She writes, “Dear Ravana, every year on this day we celebrate the victory of good over evil. But in reality… you should now understand that your behavior was not bad but a little mischievous. What did you do after all? Granted, you kidnapped a woman in a hurry, but the respect you showed her later is something that hardly anyone in today’s world would have done. You provided her with good food…shelter and even deployed female security guards for her. (Ha, that was not very good to see.)

Simi Garewal’s post caused a huge controversy. She was trolled a lot on social media. She compared Ravana with the crimes of today and said that Ravana was not that bad. But people did not like this at all. Finally, Simi deleted her post later.
