Rashmika is being compared with Deepika – Aditya Sarpotdar, the director of the movie ‘Thamma‘, is currently celebrating the success of this movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The movie, which was released on Diwali, is getting a huge response from the audience.
In a recent interview, Aditya Sarpotdar has commented on the working hours of the actors.
In an interview given to News18, Aditya Sarpotdar said that fixed working hours are necessary. Sometimes it is assumed that everyone will work for 24 hours, which leads to physical and mental fatigue.
According to the director, a 12-hour shift during the shoot is right, but working more than that is not right. He also said that sometimes people do not even get a chance to go home during the shoot and it is completely wrong.
Speaking about Deepika Padukone‘s specific demands for working hours, Aditya Sarpotdar said that it is important to understand the reason behind such requests. Actors have to maintain a certain look in front of the camera, so the thoughts behind her demands should be considered. Aditya Sarpotdar said, ‘As an actor, you have to appear in front of the camera in a certain way. So, when Deepika raised the issue of the 8-hour work limit, we should understand the reason behind it. No one demands without reason, so it is important to understand this.’ He further said that this is a completely personal choice and it is the director’s responsibility to ensure the comfort of his actors.
About Rashmika Mandanna, Aditya said, ‘Rashmika works for 12 hours, but she never complains. Maybe she is at a stage in her career where she can do this, but this does not apply to everyone. I am of the opinion that the actor and the director should work together only if they are of the same mindset.’
