Abhishek was recently awarded the Best Actor award for the film ‘I Want to Talk’ at the 70th Filmfare Awards. Abhishek also gave an emotional response while accepting the award, as it was the first time he had received this award in his 25-year career. This award, which has become very important for the actor, is the reason he has to bear the criticism.
Abhishek Bachchan buying Filmfare awards?
A user shared a post saying, “As much as he is likable, I really don’t like to say this, but even if you don’t have a single solo blockbuster film in your career… Abhishek Bachchan is a great example of how you can stay popular through award buying and PR. He won an award this year for the film ‘I Want to Talk’… a film that no one except a few critics who have taken a few bucks has seen and now I see tweets saying that 2025 is his year. This is ridiculous! There are much better actors than him who deserve more recognition, work, appreciation and awards. But unfortunately they don’t have smart PR and money.”
Responding to this criticism, Abhishek said, “I have never bought any award or done PR. I have only worked hard. But, I doubt that you will believe anything I say or write. So… the best way to shut your mouth is to work even harder, so that in future I will never question any performance again. I will prove you wrong, with complete respect and ‘amicably’.’
While many praised the actor for shutting up, some agreed with the statement of the concerned user.
