Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 Box Office Collection Day 1: Director-actor Rishabh Shetty’s much-awaited film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has made a record-breaking start at the box office.
This is a prequel to the blockbuster film ‘Kantara’ released in 2022, and the film was released nationwide and worldwide on October 2. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has praised the film by giving it 4.5 stars.
The film has achieved unprecedented success on the first day of its release. According to preliminary data from box office tracker ‘Saknilk’, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has made a huge opening of Rs 60 crore on the first day in India. While the worldwide earnings figure is estimated to reach Rs 80 to 100 crore. This figure is many times higher than the first day earnings of the film ‘Kantara’.
The film ‘Kantara’, released in the year 2022, was made in the Kannada language. Made on a modest budget of just Rs 14 crore, this film surprised everyone by earning a record Rs 400 to 450 crore at the box office. ‘Kantara’ had collected only Rs 6 crore on the first day. However, due to ‘mouth publicity’, the earnings increased and the film proved its dominance at the box office.
Against this backdrop, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has set a new record by earning Rs 60 crore on the first day itself. This has given clear indications of the film’s future success.
