Why did he want to go to Pakistan before his death?
Vinod Khanna was born on October 6, 1946 in Peshawar, Pakistan. After the partition, his family left their ancestral home permanently and came to India. In 2014, during a conversation with Shakeel Wahidullah, Secretary General of the Cultural Heritage Council of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Vinod Khanna expressed his desire to visit Pakistan.
He had said that he wanted to visit his ancestral home once, but unfortunately his wish remained unfulfilled and he was not allowed to go there. Not only Vinod Khanna, but many Bollywood stars like Manoj Kumar, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar also had connections with Pakistan.
Vinod Khanna Died due to cancer
Vinod Khanna started his career with the film “Mann Ke Meet” in 1968 and went on to act in many great films like “Mera Gaon Mera Desh,” “Hera Pheri,” “Amar Akbar Anthony,” “Muqaddar Ka Sikander,” “Parvarish,” “Qurbani,” “Chandni,” and “Dabangg.” He died of bladder cancer on 30 July 2018 and left a lasting legacy in the Hindi film industry. Now Vinod Khanna’s son Akshaye Khanna is active in the film industry. He played the role of Aurangzeb in the movie Chhaava.
